Ash Wednesday Worship Service

Ash Wednesday initiates the beginning of a 40-day season of prayer, reflection and repentance known as Lent. During this season, Christians have set aside time to examine themselves in light of God’s grace in preparation for the overwhelming reality of Easter Sunday, when we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.

At 7pm, we will have an Ash Wednesday worship service, with music, liturgy and a homily selected to reflect the spirit of the Lenten season. We will also distribute a devotional prayer guide written by Sojourn East members titled Specks & Planks.
