This Week in the Lent Guide
This week on Out in the Open, we'll lament the silence we can feel from God as we ask "How Long, O Lord?" in the face of personal suffering, pain and rejection. How do we pray when it feels like God has forgotten us? We'll also dive deeper into Psalm 22, practicing putting our honest questions and doubts before God just as David did.
NEW & NOTEWORTHY EVENTS
If you are wrestling with questions about God, Alpha is a safe place for honest conversations about faith. This nine week group is designed for anyone who'd like to talk through their questions in an open environment.
Each meeting opens with a light meal followed by a video and small group discussion around different topics. If you're looking for a no-pressure setting to talk through your struggles about God and Christianity, we hope you'll join us.
Sojourn Kids is open during this time, drop off your kids during Alpha.
New Members Class
February 18 & 25
Membership at Sojourn East is a way of committing yourself to the health and mission of our local church, and in turn asking the church to commit to you. The new members class is for anyone who is interested in learning more about Sojourn or who desires to join the church in membership. During the class, pastors and key leaders will walk through the mission of Sojourn and help you understand your role in it. Attending this class is the first step in becoming a member.
S2 (Sojourn Students) Parent Forum
Being a parent is more challenging than ever, and we want to help parents by creating safe spaces to discuss those challenges. The S2 Parent Forum will give you the opportunity to connect with other parents, address relevant cultural concepts & shifts that influence teenagers today, and discuss how a biblical worldview provides clarity to these issues.
Meet us in the Chapel at 10 AM on February 25th.
