Get Up!

This week, Kevin Jamison preaches from John 5:1-18, where Jesus meets a man who has spent years waiting for healing at the Pool of Bethesda. With his hope fixed on the water, the man nearly misses the one standing right in front of him. Jesus’ command to “get up” reveals that he is not only able to free us from what holds us—he is the true source of life and rest. Even when our circumstances don’t change, Jesus meets us in our stuckness with new strength, new hope, and the assurance that he is always at work.
