Affordable Christmas
Affordable Christmas is an annual holiday shopping event serving families who are financially struggling during the holiday season. Families are invited to participate based on referrals from community partners. On the day of the event, Sojourn welcomes these families to share a meal together and then purchase new, unused gifts at a fraction of the original price. While parents shop, children make a gift for their parents and play together. At the end of the event, families leave with wrapped gifts for their children, a completed gift, and a family picture. We look forward to building intentional relationships with our guests each year.
Thank you for signing up to serve! In order to love and serve our guests with intentionality, please register children ages 10 years of age and up. If you would like to serve as a family with children younger than 10, please email Hilary Noltemeyer at hnoltemeyer@sojourneast.com so we can help find a place that is appropriate for the ages of your children. We also encourage younger children to serve in the days leading up to Affordable Christmas by picking out gifts from our AC wishlist together, raising money to help purchase gifts, praying together for the families we serve, and for the event by making Christmas cards to include in our hospitality gift bags.
