OUTREACH MINISTRY

Our Mission

The outreach ministry exists to guide people into the fullness of life that Jesus offers through encouraging and equipping the church to share the hope of Jesus in their natural rhythms of life.

Alpha

Alpha is a course that offers open conversation for those who are wrestling with questions and doubts about who God is and what it means to know Him. We run this course in the fall and the spring.

Each week, we watch a video that introduces a question about the faith that serves as a jumping-off point for honest discussion: Is there more to life than this? Who is Jesus, and why did he die? What is faith?

If you're looking for a safe place to ask real questions and share your thoughts and opinions, insights and doubts, then this is a space for you.

Coffee at Fante's

Coffee @ Fante’s is a great space for believers to continually meet and be encouraged in building relationships and sharing their faith in their spheres of influence. This space is intended to be a dialogue where we share stories, best practices, encouragement, and intentional prayer for the people in our lives who need the Lord. We meet on the final Monday of each month at noon at Fante's Coffee. Coffee and lunch are provided.

Good News Training

As Christ followers, we can all remember when someone faithfully loved us and shared the hope of Christ. In Good News Training, we navigate the importance of prayer and practical ways of allowing the gospel to flow through us to others. In this two-week class on Sunday mornings, we grow in our skills to leverage the gospel where we live, work, and play.

Waggener High School Ministry

Sojourn East is partnered with Waggener High School, which is just a few miles from us in St. Matthews. We aim to provide support for coaches, teachers and students in various ways throughout the year.

Sports Ministry

In our sports ministry through FCA, we have the privilege of serving the Football and Baseball teams. We come alongside athletes and coaches every week during practice, building relationships and leading a devotion. We also attend home games to encourage the team and show support. The Lord has opened tremendous doors through this ministry.

Staff Ministry

We also have the opportunity to serve the teachers and staff. We serve meals approximately four times a year to support and come alongside leaders at Waggener. We aim to be intentional in building deeper relationships through service, praying, and seeking open doors from the Lord.
