SUMMARY:Women's Quarterly Connection: Friendsgiving
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our next Quarterly Connection Night for Sojourn East Women! On November 19 at 6:30 pm\, we’ll gather at Sojourn East for a Friendsgiving dinner. \nWe’ll do Thanksgiving potluck-style\, so bring a dish to share\, enjoy some good food\, and spend the evening around the table with other women from our church family. \nOur hope for Connection Nights is simple: to create space to build relationships and deepen community within the church family where God has planted us. This will be a casual\, easy evening—a great opportunity to bring a friend\, come with someone you already know\, or simply show up ready to meet someone new. \nWe’d love to have you around the table with us!

SUMMARY:Women's Gift Exchange
DESCRIPTION:For many women at Sojourn East\, Christmas wouldn’t feel quite the same without our annual Women’s Gift Exchange! Join us on Saturday\, December 5\, from 9:30am-12:15pm for one of our most loved traditions: a morning of shared brunch\, catching up with friends\, meeting someone new\, and the fun of finding gifts you can’t wait to take home.  Whether you come every year or have never joined us before\, we’d love for you to be part of it.   \nBring a dish to share and six unwrapped gifts of the same item (colors or patterns may vary). During our lively shopping rounds\, you’ll choose six different gifts to take home. Part of the fun is seeing what everyone brings!   \nWe’ll close with a time of worship\, making room to turn our hearts toward Christ and the hope of Advent together.  \nWhat to Bring \n\nLast names A–M: a savory brunch dish\nLast names N–Z: a sweet brunch dish\nEveryone: six unwrapped gifts of the same item  \n\nWe welcome S2 students to join us! This is a wonderful opportunity to introduce them to the women’s ministry and enjoy a morning together. We ask that elementary-age girls do not attend.

SUMMARY:Affordable Christmas
DESCRIPTION: Donate Directly to the Affordable Christmas Gift Fund (Select “Affordable Christmas” under fund.) Affordable Christmas is a shopping event for lower-income families to provide their children fun and exciting gifts during the holiday season. Families are invited through local schools and community organizations to attend the event. This four-hour annual event provides a powerful way for Sojourn East to meet real needs\, foster community relationships\, nurture our church members’ spiritual growth\, and make God’s goodness known to a watching\, hurting world. Affordable Christmas is not charity. It is about neighbors being good neighbors\, and helping each other. We look forward to building intentional relationships with our guests each year. Please sign up to serve! In order to love and serve our guests with intentionality\, please register children ages 10 years of age and up. If you would like to serve as a family with children younger than 10\, please email Hilary Noltemeyer so that we can help find a place that is appropriate for the ages of your children. We also encourage younger children to serve in the days leading up to Affordable Christmas by picking out gifts from our wishlist together\, raising money to help purchase gifts\, praying together for the families we serve\, and for the event by making Christmas cards to include in our hospitality gift bags. \nIf you would like to purchase gifts for Affordable Christmas\, please follow this link. Please have all gifts shipped to Sojourn East (2501 Rudy Ln\, 40207). If the item will not be shipped in time\, you can have it shipped to your home and bring it in.   \nThe Mobilization Ministry exists to guide people into the fullness of life that Jesus offers by serving the city of Louisville with a goal of mutual transformation and a deepening of our relationship with Christ. This event is one way that people can tangibly share the joy and love of Christ with others who may not know him. \n
